Hi All, My name is Saurabh Pradhan. I am an enthusiastic runner and have successfully completed couple of half marathons.
I live in Houston with my wife and two lovely daughters. I work in JP Morgan Chase. I am passionate about sports since my childhood and represented college in multiple sports. In addition to running, I enjoy and regularly play badminton and do swimming.
My running journey started with my friends when we decided to run Half marathon in 2013. Unfortunately that time there was no RHWB :), so we trained using running apps, tips and tricks available on google and I successfully finished my first half marathon. They say, consistency is a key to build good habits and ‘running’ became part of my daily routine without me even realizing. Unfortunately, the unstructured training led to a back injury which prevented me from running.
In 2020, I got introduced to RHWB. Due to the injury, I joined reluctantly but to my surprise the structured program made the journey smooth and pain free. I built muscle strength, learned right running techniques and completed another half marathon in 2020. It was fascinating to see how runners in RHWB inspire each other, support each other and celebrate each other’s achievements. During this journey I realized, running is a team sport. Unknowingly, I inspired 20 odd new runners from Houston who have become good friends and a big running family. I love to run because it sets my mind free and I come back energized. I kind of hooked to the famous quote by Ronald Rook ‘ I don’t run to add days to my life. I run to add life to my days’ !!
S7 is my third season as a runner with RHWB and a first as an Assistant coach. As a coach, my only objective is to Motivate, Support and Guide Runners throughout this journey. Lets run and inspire…!!!
