"Once a decision is made, what matters next is what is being done about it"
My name is Mo(ninder) and I will be a RRCA Certified Running Coach by end of Jan 2022. My journey to running could be summarized in three words “ICU to Marathon”. I’m highly optimist, passionate, energetic and fun-loving individual with a firm belief in Healthy Lifestyle. My Mantra and belief system is “Find your WHY (Motivation)? – If you find a single reason to make it happen rather than finding 99 excuses not to, everything else will fall in place” . I found mine – “I didn’t want to be confined in the boundary of my backyard and feel pitiable by my friends and family”
Until Jan-2020 (when I turned 51), I have never run any long-distance race in my life. I was not at all an outdoor person, in fact I used to laugh at the people when I used to see them running on the road, parks etc. However, I had a very active lifestyle, going to gym for 45 min to 1 hour, 4-5 times a week. I was doing at least 2-3 hours of Power/HIIT Yoga every week (which turned out be a life savior). On June 20, 2019, I had a major health scare which was a life changing event.
I am a kind of perfectionist and a big proponent of the saying that “slow and steady wins the race”. I’m very passionate about the endurance training and the running sport and I enjoy their combined benefits. I have started a YouTube Channel called “Yoga for Runners”, where I upload the strength training workouts along with the Breathing techniques and short videos on quick remedies for injuries.
I have completed 1 full marathon fully geared with emotions and tears in May-2021 and have completed 7 half-marathons till date (RHWB & Philly Virtual). Currently training for NYC/Philly marathon this year with a goal of completing it under 6 hours
Professionally, I work as a Global Head of Cloud Practice with GlobalLogic Inc. (A Hitachi group company) based out of San Jose, CA
